Hi, I’m Nick Teifke. My beautiful wife Amy, amazingly talented son Braeden and I recently moved to the country where we’re building the hobby farm of our dreams! We plan to raise honey bees, chickens, goats and fish. Amy is in real estate (you might see her name around town), and Braeden is a student at the STEM Institute. If you ever get a chance to meet him, ask him how fast he can solve the Rubik’s Cube (he’s FAST).
Like so many of my friends and family, I grew up and went to school in Fond du Lac, graduating from Goodrich High School class of ‘97. After high school I went to Moraine Park to get my Associates Degree in Mechanical Design, then to UW-Stout for my Bachelors in Industrial Management. That great, local education led me to a job in Engineering at Kohler Company in Kohler, WI where I’ve been for nearly 20 years. Over that time I’ve worked in several departments, from Shower Doors, to Showering, to Kitchens, and finally my current job working on Intelligent Toilets and Bidet Seats (think heated seats, bidet features and even bluetooth connectivity). Don’t feel bad, I can’t afford them either.
I have always had a passion for community service mixed with a little bit of politics. I’ve helped form and run several dog rescues, and we’ve fostered and adopted countless dogs over the years. I’ve also been active in the last few local and statewide elections, working for several candidates. Now I’m ready to put that passion to work for the Fond du Lac School Board.
I cannot wait to listen to you, our community members, parents, teachers and students. I believe strongly in ensuring we all have a voice in decisions made in our community. Together we can ensure we have the best school district in the country!
